Standard call with recruiter, then had me schedule a time for the take home. I got a email at the time I scheduled and completed the take home test. I received an email after the take home that they were not considering me further.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Runway (CA) (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
10 min screen with recruiter
3 hour takehome assessment
generic rejection email
There really isn’t that much else to describe, which is a shame since I wasted 3 hours on the takehome itself

Interview
Wasted about 4 weeks of my time. These people are clueless. They initially gave the impression that they were very buttoned up, organized, and fast to move. However, they quickly revealed themselves as being lost, confused, disorganized, and having no clear/known criteria for evaluating candidates. For the technical project portion of the interview - something I spent almost a whole evening on - they had some kid in a baseball cap, who was far less knowledgeable than me, evaluate me and throw bs feedback and questions that were aside from the point of the project. Time and time again, they kept stringing me along. They even led me to believe they were moving me to a final round by telling me I was their front-runner candidate, their top recruiting priority, and asking to schedule a call - only to reject me, instead of just sending me an email. For those of you wondering, no, there was no constructive nor valuable feedback provided in that call. It was all very vague. He just made it a point to insult me and say I didn't live up to their core value of "Raising the bar".
