The recruiter was warm and pleasant. She walked me through the full process, explained who I'd be meeting at each stage, and was easy to talk to. After the first interview, she said she'd follow up with the salary range for the role once she had it. She never did. I was moved forward to the second round without that information ever being shared.
The hiring manager interview was a straightforward Q&A. Fair, relevant questions about content strategy, AI, and industry experience. Nothing unreasonable.
After that, silence. No rejection, no update, no timeline. Over a month with zero communication. I had to assume the process was dead.
The interviews themselves were a genuinely positive experience and the role sounded interesting. But promising to share salary information and not following through, then ghosting a candidate after two rounds, is a poor reflection on the company. A quick "we've decided to go another direction" costs nothing.
