The interview process was easy, the supervisor and manager felt easy to talk too. Unfortunately I wasn’t selected for this role but moving forward I will not be applying to this company after this. I’ve applied to other roles within the company such as lidar tech and geospatial tech including distribution designer role and I was denied before I could even get an interview which is odd since I have experience in geospatial, GIS, and distribution design. I have over 6 yrs in experience but I still was denied and I feel like bc last year I withdrew my candidacy I might’ve ruffled some feathers or miss communication or something else I’m unaware of , so I will no longer apply to this company moving forward. After my rejection letter I did some digging and found out this a high turn over company (revolving door), I noticed they hire every 3 months which also gives me speculation that this would be a temporary job and I’m looking for a company where I can lay some roots so maybe this rejection is a redirection. I have noticed plenty of other companies are the same such Osmose Utilities and Southern company, so if you’re looking to retire somewhere I wouldn’t recommend either one of those companies either. I’m also aware how the job market is and how difficult it is to find a job, keep your head up you’ll find one that’s for you but in the meantime go back to school, get a certification in AutoCAD, SQL, python etc or get a masters degree which is what I’m doing. If you need a job badly look into subbing at schools until something in your area opens up, subbing isn’t bad you get hired within a week or try internships. Also look at other companies such as Greystone power, UES, Tetra tech companies or real estate companies for GIS roles and reddit can also help you find jobs or give you ideas on where to look in your field such as Risk management but for GIS or climate analyst . Good luck on your endeavors and I hope yall find the company for you.
