There were 4 video questions and after that you got invited to an interview from where the team head asked you a bunch of different questions about your style of developing.
First there was a personality and iq(logical) test. Afterwards, I got a call where a person asked me about my motivation, experience and what I’d like to do. Didn’t move further than that
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SEB AB (Vilnius) in Mar 2024
Interview
1st stage - video call with recruiter. Very nice, friendly person to talk to, set out very transparently the expectations of the role and potential progressions and salary.
2nd stage - take-home assessment. This was about the level I'd expect for a mid-level position. Nothing too complicated, flexible to do the bare minimum or expand on it as much as you wanted. It involved a scheduling task and interaction with an external API.
3rd stage - interview with 2 developers/architects on the team. This was the absolute worst part. I joined the call and they didn't even say hi or ask how I was doing. No smiles throughout the interview, you'd think they'd want to do their best to attract talent, but they looked utterly miserable and like they didn't want to be there. I was excited about the product and team beforehand but these 2 guys were extremely off-putting. I would not in 100 years want to work every day with them. I have no idea why they're like that - if the company is so awful to work for, if it's a cultural thing, or if they just simultaneously received bad news before the interview. Regardless, next time get engineers who have had human interactions before.
