I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SKYCOPE TECHNOLOGIES (Burnaby, BC) in Feb 2025
Interview
It was a very hands-on interview process. The company focuses strongly on practical ability, so the interview started directly with a technical task. I was given a brief product description and an operating guide, and was asked to assemble the device on site within a limited time, perform specific testing procedures, and write a short test report. After that, there was a written test that included logic questions and a planning exercise for a potential field test. Once I submitted the answers, the interviewer discussed my approach and reasoning in detail. The entire interview lasted about five hours and provided a clear picture of the company’s daily work style and expectations.

Question 1
You are informed that an upcoming field testing task is scheduled, and you will be leading the team. Please develop a comprehensive test plan to ensure the team is fully prepared, capable of handling potential incidents, and able to complete the testing task successfully.
The task provided a map with several designated field test locations. I was asked to plan a complete testing process to finish all tests within the given time, using minimal manpower and achieving the shortest overall duration.
