I applied online, and received an email to setup an in-person interview (without a single phone call). Thought that was a small red flag, but maybe they just liked my resume that much. Anyway, they were pretty good at setting the travel up, booked the flight/rental car/hotel for me. The HR department was friendly and helped me out through the initial process.
The interview itself was pretty straightforward. 6 1-on-1 interviews, each 30 minutes. Group varied from engineers to management, but I was not asked even one technical question. It was purely behavioral and about my experience. However, the office that I interviewed in was pretty large but fairly empty. It was pretty quiet, not much going on.
After the interview, I felt pretty negatively about the experience. The managers had no idea who I was, it was clearly their first time looking at my resume. I was pretty disappointed because SSL has been a leader in their industry for a while, but had recently been in a downturn due to the industry. I interviewed just a week after they had announced some layoffs. Company morale seemed pretty low.
It's been ~3 weeks, and I have not received a response. I decided to take another offer, so I didn't even bother following up with SSL because of the negative experience and the fact that I disliked the interview process so much that I wouldn't take an offer from them regardless of how good it is.
