Initially, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the individuals within the company who embody kindness and engage in fascinating work. However, in all my professional experience, I have never encountered a company so indifferent to the value of my time. Despite undergoing six interviews and investing significant effort in a comprehensive project, I ultimately received a rejection based on information I had provided from the very beginning of our conversation, information that had been revisited in every subsequent interview. Throughout the process, I received reassurances, only to be met with a declined offer after over a month of extensive discussions and exchanges. Upon discovering that they conduct backdoor reference checks, I expressed my concerns to a member of the hiring team, finding it peculiar given their purported commitment to transparency and honesty, which seemed one-sided. I inquired if something I had said or done made them question my truthfulness, to which he responded in the negative. The following day, I was informed that I didn't get the job, with the reason being that they opted for someone with more experience. After enduring six interviews, it is disheartening to consider whether they exploit project completions to extract insights and ideas without extending employment offers. My profound disappointment with the entire ordeal lingers.
