I applied through university. I interviewed at SV Microwave (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
The process was swift with a lot of complex questions relevant to engineering. The process was primarily Heat transfer related. They asked a series of questions that challenge an average engineer to think.
Phone screen and then in-person interviews at the office. Interviews with HR and hiring managers.
One manager asked professional questions about background, experience and future plans.
Other manager asked condescending questions about background, fit and personality. Found it to be quite odd and unprofessional.

Describe your future career plans
Placing the right person in the right job is one of the most important things we do at SV and we take it very seriously. A candidate's past experiences, work style and personality can be as important in determining a good job fit as their education and work experience, so we do ask those types of questions - ideally in a respectful, non-offensive manner. I'm sincerely sorry that you had a bad experience here at SV. Please call me if you would like to speak further.
