The process was fast but it felt a little one way street-type interview as a significant amount of information about the position was left out. This is the steps I went through: 30 minutes phone call with their Senior Director, Customer Success Video interview back-to-back with 3 people (about 90 min) with their Enterprise Customer Success Manager, Senior Account Executive - Inside Sales, Manager, Enterprise Customer Success. (Take home test) create an implementation deck which takes about 2 hours of work. Final video interview with their VP of customer Success. Received a (We want to know what you think) survey about interview experience Received a generic rejection no reply email Most interviewers were nice, but I guess I have failed the final one. Based on that experience I can say they seem to be growing very fast and probably need to hire a lot of new employees. However, I do think if someone gives you hours of their time to go through your full process. Then you should send something a little more personal than a generic no-reply email. I also never heard back from the email I sent them following that to thank them of their time. If you are interested in joining them, then I think there is good potential for growth as most people I talked to seemed to have been promoted within a short period of time. Their sales person also told me the service / product cost a little more compared to their competitors, but seems to be working much better. So I guess their product is good. On the flip side some of the people I talked to brought up the fact that their internal processes were challenging, but they were working on building efficiency. Also based on the interviews I do not think employees are very valued and their goal is to grow as fast as they can and get that IPO.

It started out great, I passed my first 30 minute video interview with the recruiter. The recruiter was a little bit difficult to understand and struggled with English some, but was very nice! Then came the Hiring Manager interview - which they failed to attend. I’ll start by saying I am surprised and disappointed that a company of this size and reputation could do so poorly with something as simple as doing an interview. I entered the meeting waiting room 5 minutes early. 5 minutes passed the interview start time I emailed everyone on the email chain to check and see if the interview was still happening. 15 minutes into waiting (half of the duration), I sent another email saying I would be happy to reschedule and exited the meeting about 20 mins in. Nothing. At 4 AM, yes, 4 in the morning, I get an email from one of the people in the email chain asking if I had issues connecting and that the hiring manager had difficulties connecting too. They asked if I wanted to reschedule. The email was phrased in a way that confirmed they didn’t bother to read my last 2 emails. I emailed back indicating my willingness to reschedule and thanked them for following up. That was days ago. Samsara was one of the companies I was really excited about working with. It’s unfortunate how bad the recruiting team fumbled this. Hopefully they can get organized so other candidates don’t have to deal with this. Just a note this was all remote, but there was no remote US location option
