I applied online. I interviewed at Samsara (London, England) in Jan 2024
Interview
I got to the second stage which was a task. After submitting the task which took hours to complete I received an automated email saying they were moving forward with different candidates. Very disappointing that they can’t even take a couple minutes to send a personal email and shows that they don’t really value people’s time. Talent team should take a look at their process.

Question 1
Past job experience, last time you learnt something new
I was genuinely excited about this opportunity and spent several days preparing reading the company’s 10-K, researching competitors, and identifying how Sales Operations could drive strategic impact. Unfortunately, the interview process was disappointing.
The recruiter cancelled our initial call just five minutes before it was scheduled, which immediately made the process feel disorganized and low-priority. When the interview was finally rescheduled, it felt robotic and impersonal likely due to their use of an AI interview tool called hire bright (which you can opt out of).
The conversation focused almost entirely on change management. While relevant, this is a unique and narrow aspect of Sales Ops, which led me to believe the role was poorly scoped and lacked internal clarity.
To top it off, I received a generic rejection email at 12:00 AM on the 4th of July a national holiday. That timing felt inconsiderate and tone deaf, (I’m a US Veteran) it stung to get it on that day, especially after all the prep and effort on my end.
Overall, the process lacked structure, communication, and a basic sense of professionalism. Candidates deserve better.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you implemented change management for a large team ? How did you go about it ?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Samsara in May 2025
Interview
Of all the companies that I have interviewed at, Samsara is definitely, hands down, the most unorganized, unempathetic group of employees I have come across. There are several rounds that each candidate has to go through, and for each round, I was rescheduled at least once if not multiple times. I understand things happen, but in today's market, I would hope the company is a bit more considerate of the candidate's time. In addition, during my final round, I can tell the interviewers were not focused. Regardless if they did not want to move forward, be empathetic of the fact that each individual interviewing spent time putting together a presentation. While I did not get an offer, I had reservations from the start and knew that if I felt nothing more than a number to them, I can imagine how toxic the culture would be.
