Interview
The initial interview experience was positive, characterized by constructive feedback and gratitude toward the interviewer. However, the subsequent interview with the Director proved disappointing and unproductive. Despite being rescheduled twice, the Director appeared unprepared, evident from her first-time review of my resume during the call. Her lack of engagement and disinterest resulted in a brief conversation lasting less than 20 minutes. It was disheartening to feel like my time was undervalued, particularly if the company had already identified a preferred candidate. I left the interview feeling frustrated and undervalued.
Not the best experience. The Director I interviewed with was unprepared and only just saw my resume during the interview. She also called out a skill I didn’t have, which made the interview weird as it was obvious she wasn’t moving forward with me. She was quite condescending as well, and honestly the interview was a waste of my time. I understand it’s an employer’s market right now, but hopefully she improves her communication skills. Finally, their compensation isn’t competitive.

Interview
A corp recruiter reached out to me and I applied. During the call, she was 5 minutes late and did not even apologize. Then, she barraded me with 20 min of questions. That should have been a red flag. First off, an experienced recruiter would introduce themselves and share why they love the company. Rather, she didn't even remember if she reached out to me or her colleague or if I applied for the position (2nd red flag). I did not want to be rude and interrupt her so I let her ask away. Questions were extremely rudimentary and lacked depth. She also did not even take the time to review my resume before calling me. If they hired this type of person who is ill prepared as a corporate recruiter then I'm glad I did not move forward with them. I was able to ask one question and what she answered was a huge red flag. She loved the company b/c she was able to join the quarterly earnings. Really? That is your response, not how great your team is or your manager?
