The process was three rounds, each with a different feel.
First up was the Group Talent Manager, about 45 minutes, pretty relaxed. We talked through the role, I shared my background, asked my questions, and got a good feel for the opportunity, and culture of the business.
The second round was with the CHRO and got a bit more technical. He wanted to understand how I think, test my knowledge of key concepts, and get into the detail of my experience. Good conversation, again, gave me more understanding of the culture and values they hold as a company.
By the time I got to the final round with the Regional Director, the background questions were done. This one was all about culture and trust, are we going to click, do we see things the same way, can we work together. We talked a bit about me, a bit about him and the business, we had an honest conversation about what we needed from each other to make it a success. It felt less like an interview and more like two people figuring out if they wanted to work together.
Turns out, yes.
