I applied online. A couple of weeks later, out of the blue, I got a phone call at 4:15 one afternoon from the president of the organization. He immediately launched into telling me that he couldn't talk that day because he was stuck in traffic and would need to reschedule. After he told me all this, I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He claimed that we had had an interview scheduled for 15 minutes from then. I was out of the house and in the waiting room of a doctor's office, so I couldn't talk there, nor had I been given any chance to prepare (well, I had 15 minutes, but that isn't enough). A few minutes later I got an email from him acknowledging that he had thought he had scheduled an interview with me but had forgotten to send the email. OK, honest mistake. So we rescheduled the interview. On the day of the (actual) interview, which was over Zoom, I logged on. I was on time. I waited a whole 10 minutes and should have probably not waited that long for him to arrive, but finally he did. He told me he forgot about the appointment (again, kind of). I went through the interview but was kind of flustered by all this, so I didn't do well. It's just as well. I wouldn't have wanted to work for such a disorganized man anyway. Also an extremely rude man, not only for the messed up interview scheduling but for never getting back to me after the interview, even just to tell me no thanks, that I wasn't moving on to the next step.
