Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Schuberg Philis (Amsterdam) in Nov 2025
Interview
Long culture test round. They want to understand you properly as a person. They insist on the hierarchy being very flat and absolutely no managers to resolve arguments/debates. While that sounds noble on paper I do not believe a proper flat hierarchy is humanly possible.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Have you been triggered in a past job and how did you deal with it?
Initial call with the recruiter, then face to face at their office.
Later they have more face to face rounds also in the office, which is not in the center of the country and accessible by bus from Schipol.

Interview
Applied from another country and got in contact with a recruiter first. The interview seemed to go well, however afterwards I received the following feedback. They said that my team at the previous job consisted of junior, mid-level and senior engineers, so I could not work well with a team of just senior engineers. It is an especially odd explanation, teams all over the world are made up of engineers with different seniority level. Second reason is even weirder than the first one. So they said that I have never worked in the Netherlands and I might struggle to adjust to it. I do not think I was rejected based on my competences at all.

Question 1
Explain what kind of projects you have worked on. Why do you want to move to the Netherlands?
