      Senior Backend Engineer Interview

      23 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Scope3 (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2026

      Interview

The overall experience was not the best. 1. Call with recruiter 2. Assessment [ Data Aggregator for emissions data, using the Scope3 `/measure` endpoint] 3. Technical discussion on the assessment and live coding to add more features like caching 4. System Design 5. Another Live coding ( was told they need to confirm some of my skills so I need to do another live coding which i did] The whole process took like a month of my time just for them to send a rejection mail that even though I passed all stages but based on "nuanced" they decided to go with another candidate
