HR contacted me for a preliminary screening interview. The process was fairly smooth, except for the fact that the interview timeslots were frequently changed, which came across as quite unprofessional.
Moving on to the actual interview, one of the interviewers was late, and both seemed unprepared. It made no sense what they were asking throughout the session. The interview lacked constructive questions, making the entire session feel meaningless and exhausting. It seemed unprofessional throughout.
I've attempted to align my current career path with the scope of this role, but it didn't seem to resonate with any of them. During the interview, one even smirked.
It seems that interviewers are not showing the necessary enthusiasm and professionalism during interviews. This may be a characteristic of startups, it seems.
