I went through about four formal rounds of interviews, speaking with the full executive team. In addition to the structured rounds, there were multiple follow-up discussions with the founder and VP of Sales, which gave both sides time to go deeper. The entire process was fast-moving and well-coordinated, and the team was respectful of my availability while I was still working full-time elsewhere.
The level of transparency was notable. We didn’t just speak in generalities — we reviewed real numbers, real challenges, and had frank discussions about the current state of the business and where they wanted to go. It made for a refreshing and productive interview experience.
There weren’t any major drawbacks. It’s an early-stage company, so not every metric or KPI I asked about was fully formalized yet — which is understandable and expected at this stage of growth.
One highlight: the VP of Sales flew from NYC to meet me in person in my small town in California. That level of commitment left a strong impression.
