I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SelectQuote (Jacksonville, FL) in Feb 2015
Interview
Quite possible one of the wierdest interviews I have been to, and possibly the most bizzare 2 hour experience of my Life. After posting my resume online I was contacted by a recruiter at SelectQuote who told me my extensive insurance background was exactly what they were looking for and that a hiring manager would be in contact. Shortly afterwards I got a call from one of the managers we talked for all of 2 minutes mostly about his recent vacation he concluded our conversation by telling me I had "passed" the phone test, whatever that meant, and that he'd schedule me in for a face to face interview...one week later and Im walking into the interview, aside from that bizzare 2 minute chat, all seemed well. I walk into the interview and there are 4 of the hiring managers, strangely they were all scattered around the room. One of the managers sat almost behind me, the other to my right, the other to my left and one directly in front of me. Almost as if I was being cross examined in a law and order court room and the way the interview proceeded certainly was very much the case. One would ask a question, while the other would object to the way I had answered the question just to see if I was "coachable". Then all of a sudden a 5th manager just strolls in 45 minutes into the interview, barely introduces himself and proceeds to ask me the same questions the other 4 had asked me, then one of them says "great! Lets see if his answers are different this time"...odd. You'd think I was being interviewed for a position with the KGB not life insurance sales in a call center. The interview ended with them saying I got the job pending final approval from the CEO. I never got a call back. I did get a brief tour of the office, not exactly racially/gender diverse, probably 95% caucasian male and I got the feeling they wanted to keep it that way.

Interview
Was great! The guy was super friendly and the process was easy. The benefits and salary are outstanding and they help you with getting your license. Overall, it was a great experience and one of my easier interviews.

Interview
The interview process was odd, at the beginning of the month they directed me to a google calendar link at first and I scheduled my first interview but no one confirmed. The day of, they canceled without an explanation. Then towards the very end of the month a recruiter reached out to me saying they had a hard time getting in touch and asked me to schedule the first call. I scheduled the call and the time of the call no one reached out so I had to call myself. It was as if they weren't expecting me, nevertheless I completed the interview and moved on to the next round.
The recruiter messaged me again asking if I had any questions so I emailed back asking about the insurance license process. She responded with automated email without answering the question, just asking if I had more questions. The lady that would interview me next sent out automated texts to schedule my next interview after I had already scheduled so I asked if I should reschedule. She never responded until the night before the interview saying the time was fine. All of her texts were typed with multiple ellipses between every phrase which I just found off.
In the second interview I was about to potentially move on to the next round until I asked about hours since they mentioned overtime. They expected me to work a total of 104 hours per week 6 days a week. To that I said thank you for your time but I am not interested in the position. The pay would be 18/hr + commission in training and the busiest months then after that they cut the base pay in half to a little over 9/hr and you rely on commission more. I found that odd. Also, in the interview she said the company sent her tons of expensive gifts like a flat screen tv, airpods, etc to show its appreciation which I found too good to be true.
In the background of the call, which they notified me was recorded, there was constant typing which sounded almost too fast to be human. Also there were random loud noises that sounded like the call would break up.

to be honest I got notified of this through indeed and I just started looking into this venue pretty recently. I applied almost as a "I'll never get it but what the hey" I got contacted almost immediately, to my surprise.Everyone was very friendly but still very professional. So far it's been great very streamlined. Overall a very pleasant surprise. the orientation and training is pretty long but the compensation is pretty good too it seems like there's a lot of really great perks and great pay benefits that go along with this job also their stock options are really amazing as well.
