I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shield AI (Prosper, TX) in Sept 2024
Interview
It began with a 30min-1hr phone call with the recruiter to see if they would be a good fit for me and I would be a good fit for them. After passing the phone screening, I moved on to a video call technical interview with a senior manager, we walked through a problem and solved it step by step, they really do care about your thinking process more than being 100% accurate so don’t get in your head. After this, I was invited on-site for an in-person interview. This was probably the most intense part of the process for me (I got my first job during covid so this was my first in person interview). I was first walked through a brief tour of the facility, then moved on to a 45 minute teamwork-focused interview, a 45 minute technical interview, and a 30 minute values interview. After these concluded I gave a presentation over a project I had done in front of a panel of three interviewers, including questions this took roughly an hour. Overall, I’d say the process may seem daunting, but I was made to feel welcome and respected throughout the entire experience! Don’t be afraid to apply, and don’t be afraid of your interviewers!
