I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sigma Computing in Oct 2022
Interview
First call was with the hiring manager. Fairly quick, pleasant. She said that she'd like to meet with another member of the recruiting team for a screen. The screen was a bit odd. I joined the call and was immediately asked if I can reschedule because there was a company all-hands at that time. I thought this was a bit odd since we already scheduled the interview like a week ahead of time and they only asked me to reschedule AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW. I was a bit annoyed, but it was fine. I hopped back on in 30 min after their all hands was over. The screen was fairly basic. I did a quick sourcing exercise beforehand and talked about my exp. After that, I tried following up with the Hiring Manager saying I enjoyed the chat and looking forward to hearing back. After more than two weeks of no response, I had to follow up with the Coordinator who scheduled my screen asking for an update. The next day, I received an automated rejection email from the Hiring Manager. To add insult to injury, the template was not even filled out (it said "thank you for applying to [ROLE]"). I don't mind the rejection, but the lack of updates after weeks of non-response and the sloppy scheduling and communication left a bad impression of their recruiting team. I was actively interviewing with a few companies at the time, and this was one of the worst candidate experiences from a company.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Apologies for the not so ideal experience from our end. Something we will look into and treat as a learning opportunity.
