I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Silicon Valley Bank (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
A phone screening, then a background check, and then an in-person interview that lasted several hours. Some of the interview tested understanding of the bank's technologies, other parts asked me to explain some recent class topics.
