      Community Ambassador Interview

      3 Jun 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Silverado in May 2013

      Interview

It seems like I had to talk with everyone in the company. Long and drawn out . They were all very nice except at the end...the "sincerity" was very plastic . Couldn't get a straight answer from anyone. Felt like I was led on and really thought I would get an offer. Then the totally impersonal thanks but no thanks email

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Silverado (Belmont, CA)

      Interview

I have over 20 years of experience in senior living, and I recently had a phone interview with Silverado. The conversation went well, and I was told I would be contacted to schedule the next step. After the interview, I sent a thank-you email expressing my enthusiasm for the opportunity. Days went by with no response, so I followed up—twice—and never received a reply. This experience left me very disappointed. The lack of communication and basic courtesy felt highly unprofessional and disrespectful. Not acknowledging an applicant after an interview reflects poorly on the company’s culture and values. If this is how Silverado treats potential employees, I can only imagine how internal communication and employee relations might be handled. A simple update or follow-up would have shown respect and integrity—qualities that are essential in the senior living industry. I used to admire this company, but this experience completely changed my opinion. I hope Silverado reconsiders how their recruiting team treats candidates and focuses on hiring people who demonstrate the same compassion and professionalism expected in dementia care.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take every comment about the interview process seriously and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. We believe there may be some confusion regarding this review, as Silverado Belmont has not had a Community Ambassador opening for quite some time. Additionally, our most recent open position in the area was not declined, and no prior candidates had been recontacted for that role. We want to ensure your experience is accurately reflected and connected to the correct organization and position. If you believe this feedback may pertain to another company or role, we’d appreciate it if you could confirm or reach out to us directly so we can look into this further. Silverado values professionalism, respect, and clear communication—both with our team members and those who express interest in joining us. We wish you all the best in your professional endeavors.

      Interview

2 phone screens. 2 personality test. Skype interview w West Coast Talent Aquisition. Live interview with Administrator and Regional Sales Director at community location. Neither one appears to be very prepared and was not a professional interview. Company awaited the faculty and lost several employees.
