I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SimpleTiger (Sarasota, FL) in Jul 2021
Interview
The interview process has 3 steps. First is a loom video introducing yourself, then a zoom interview with the hiring manager, and a final interview with the CEO. I was also asked to do a practice exercise and received a $100 gift card for doing so.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me technical questions related to the role I applied to, my ability to work in a remote environment, and why I thought I would be a good fit for SimpleTiger specifically.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SimpleTiger in Sept 2024
Interview
I applied, and then was asked to record a 5 minute Loom video and answer a few questions about my experience and how I'd manage a new client.
After that, I had an interview with Branden. Although it went over an hour, this was one of the best interview experiences I've had. He asked good questions, especially the last one which I won't give away here. During this interview I was able to learn more about his background as well as the company and the expectations for the role. It seemed like a great pace to work.
After this interview I was invited to the next round which involved a homework assignment which I won't give away the details for here. That same day I was offered another role elsewhere, and I ended up accepting a position with another company so I'm not sure how the results would have turned out.
They ask you to do a Loom video answering interview questions. It felt impersonal. I did it and I didn’t proceed to the next step, but to be honest, it already turned me off on the company. Please rethink this interview step.
I appreciate your feedback and I'm sorry for the way it made you feel. For context, we get 1,500-2,000 applicants for every role being as we're remote only, and we've found ~10% of them will send the Loom video audition. This shows us who wants to work with us. Sending Loom videos to people is a common part of all of our jobs here so anyone who isn't comfortable with it isn't comfortable with a core part of what their job would be here. I appreciate your feedback and I wish you the best of luck!
