I was currently working at another company in industry. Received a Linkedin invite to their company happy hour. Meet Kevin White the Marketing Director. Kevin revealed they were looking to hire for a role that was not yet listed publicly I revealed I was interested in moving companies. I returned for two follow up interviews one with the entire marketing department and another with the head of the marketing department Gary Orenstein. I received an offer about a month later in the process.
