      Social Media Assistant Interview

      16 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skirt PR (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

I applied for a position titled “Social Media Assistant”, which lead me to believe it was a full-time salaried job. Halfway through my interview, my interviewees let me know that it was in fact a four-month contract (with possibility of extension), hourly pay (which was exactly what I was making at the internship I already was at), and referred to by the company as a “super-internship”. Nowhere on the job site was the word “super-internship” mentioned. After taking a day off from the company I was working for at the time, I was so put off by the deception and bait-and-switch that I didn’t accept the offer.
