I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slocum (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2014
Interview
HR emailed a few days after I submitted to request a phone interview. Phone interview then final interview with supervisor and another analyst. Ended up not getting the position because they found a better match, but HR was very good in following up and giving a quick decision. Interview questions trended towards the behavioral side over the technical side, which I have found is standard for a lot of investment firms in the area. They did not throw any punches or curveballs. Overall I have a lot of respect for Slocum - lots of nice people even though I didn't get the offer.

Question 1
Are you more comfortable doing research or sales? (Not the exact wording, but even at the most junior levels they want to know whether you can be comfortable with clients in meetings. This is not the only firm of this nature that has asked this question.)
