After applying, I was invited to an interview with a manager of the company. The interview started with a brief introduction of the company and its products. I was then told that the role required extensive technical knowledge of C++, mathematical optimization, on-premise software deployment and message queues, as well as fluency in German.
However, these requirements were never mentioned in the job description. According to the job description, the focus was on agile project management, stakeholder management and technical documentation - topics that matched my profile. However, the actual requirements in the interview differed considerably, so my application was not suitable from the outset.
The interview lasted about 15 minutes before I was told that my qualifications were not sufficient. The rejection came right at the end of the interview. Overall, the process seemed inefficient as a clearer job posting could have saved both my time and the company's time.
My conclusion: anyone applying here should find out in advance whether the actual requirements go beyond the official job advertisement.
