Interview
Send in my resume. Only took 24 hrs to get a call back. Recruiting was nice. Spok to the next person a couple of days later, that went well. Came in for the final interview and that's when things got weird. First thing I noticed was the lack of diversity in the office. After waiting a short time the manager came in and he interviewed me. I answered all his questions honestly and told him about my 20 yrs of sales experience. He asked me about my resume and my past experience. I got a weird vibe from him the whole time and thought my experience plus my hunger to succeed would get me the job. It didn't.

Interview
My experience with SmartFinancial was not great, to say the least. I was contacted via Linkedin asking me to provide my availability to schedule an interview for the position that I had applied for, which I felt was a strange approach. I provided my availability for interviewing, waited for 2 days for a reply, and didn't hear back. I sent another message to provide a reminder about my availability and still did not receive a response. Fast forward 3 weeks later and I finally received a response back to schedule an interview. The initial interview was very easy and I felt the questions were really geared toward someone applying for an entry-level position, which I was not. I was also asked if I had a computer and internet connection at home. Why would I apply for a remote position if I did not have access to these things (the irony of being asked this question during a Zoom interview)? I then was moved to the second round but I had to do an assessment test before officially moving forward. The questions were laughable, at best and it was a complete waste of time. I ended up "passing" and moved on to the second round. The interviewers were very pleasant and the questions they asked were a bit more insightful. I felt things went well and I was given the impression I would be moving on. This was in December and we are now in February and I have yet to hear anything back from SmartFinancial. Horribly disorganized and unprofessional, from start to finish.
