I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Smashburger (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
Met region manager. Talked about highs and lows of daily restaurant operation. Gave examples of expected OT. Feel more like selling me than me trying to sell myself. Was about 2 hours, and did an on-site practice for 2 hours. (The auditions for jobs in food service is a bad concept-I have done 3-4 and I don't think they good for the guest, the candidate, or the company to have an untrained non paid person serving food or working in an unfamiliar kitchen/concept.)
