      Human Resources Interview

      23 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Snap Kitchen (Austin, TX) in Apr 2018

      Interview

I interviewed with Snap from March - April to evaluate a mutual fit for an HR position. The HR team were all extremely friendly and kept me up to date on next steps throughout the process. Snap seems to be growing rapidly and the culture sounds amazing! I would have accepted this role if my current company had not given me a counter-offer.

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap Kitchen in Mar 2019

      Interview

After applying, I received an email with prescreening questions from the recruiter. A week later, I received another email requesting a phone interview with her directly. During the initial call, in addition to standard questions: the recruiter wanted to discuss the weather as she is not from Texas. I found this odd and unprofessional. After another week or so. i received another email to schedule a call with a HR team member. The recruiter requested the call for the next day. I replied to the email immediately upon receipt. The next morning, I received another email confirming receipt and stating I looked forward to the call. At the designed time, no one called. I reached out to the recruiter via phone and left a voicemail message about the situation. The next day. i shared feedback with the VP and about an hour later, received a call from the recruiter who said she is rarely at her desk and I should call her on her cell. She rescheduled the call as she said she did not get my email due to her system acting weird. The call did take place the next day as scheduled. A few days later, I received another email stating I would not be advancing in the process. Honestly; based on the unprofessional experience, I was thankful for this response.
