20 minute phone screening then 1 hour face to face with the director and another account manager. Interviewers didn't seem like they were prepared or had a knowledge of what they were really looking for.
They also offered me $25k less as a base salary than what I made at the time, stating that I would bonus well over that if I hit all my "goals". When I asked what the highest paid person in my position bonuses, not asking a name just a ball park range of what I could expect, they couldn't give me an answer. Once I reworded the question they answered- being that the SaaS was so inexpensive to purchase as a customer, basically I would have to open 25-30 new accounts a month to break even what I would be leaving on the table at my current employer.
I politely declined the offer, thankfully. Unfortunately, my friend who had referred me, lost their job 2 months later due to company layoffs.
