I interviewed at Social Research Centre

      Interview

TL;DR: The initial recruitment process was efficient, but communication became slow and inconsistent after the interview stage. After submitting my written application, I was contacted quickly and invited to complete an online assessment. Before I had submitted the assessment, I was also invited to interview (which was scheduled only a couple of days after the assessment deadline). The team mentioned they were hiring urgently, which may explain the efficiency at the early stages. The interview itself went alright, questions were rather standard. I was informed that there were a few remaining interviews to complete and that an outcome was expected by the following Friday. When that date passed without an update, I followed up but did not receive a response. After following up again several days later, I was advised that the team was still progressing through interviews and would provide an update once decisions had been made. I received a rejection approximately two weeks later, though I was unable to obtain feedback on either my interview or technical assessment despite requesting it. Overall, the early stages of the recruitment process were well organised and moved quickly, but communication afterwards could have been more transparent and timely.
