I applied online. I interviewed at Solid Power (Thornton, CO) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process started off smoothly, but communication became very limited as it progressed. After my third interview, which was a panel interview with six people split into three separate conversations of a little over 30 minutes each, I never received any follow-up.
I sent thank you emails to each interviewer and left a brief voicemail about a week later, but I received no response. I understand that companies may decide to move forward with other candidates, but being ghosted after multiple rounds of interviews felt unprofessional and disappointing. A simple rejection email would have been appreciated and would have shown more respect for the time and effort candidates put into the process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Solid Power (Louisville, CO) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. There was one screening call with talent acquisition, one hour-long video call with the hiring manager, then a day of on-site interviews. I was asked to give an hour-long presentation while on-site to introduce myself and respond to a semi-technical prompt provided in advance. No coding interview, but lots of questions about technical concepts/experience.

Question 1
Tell us about your favorite project you worked on at your last job. Why did you like it, what did you learn from it, etc.
2 Interviews. One with HR and then another with a supervisor, manager, and a different HR rep. Both were 30 mins, the latter had a 15 minute virtual tour. Many questions were along the lines of "can you name a time when you had to do xyz"
