I had an Admin role remote interview for their Brampton location. The HR Generalist based in BC took the time to include a smile emoji to confirm the interview details, which gave an impression that it'll be a light and positive interaction. Unfortunately the interview itself felt rushed and was prevented to expound my answers with real life examples, and was told she has many candidates to go through. The interview could definitely be shortened since several questions felt repetitive and came across as a checklist rather than a discussion. At times she's unfamiliar with some employment or operational terms that are common knowledge given her role. While there's an effort to be personable, her tone occasionally shifted when probing deeper into my responses. I was told I'd receive an update in two weeks, but the update came about a month. This experience definitely influenced my impression of the company’s interview process and communication practices.
