Do you have a specialized interest that you know you want to focus on?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Southwest Research Institute (San Antonio, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
Was anticipating an interview with the head of R&D, but was instead greeted with a committee of three other HR personnel. Initially, when they were asking a lot of questions, they were looking at their phones while taking notes. Overall, the interview process was okay until they asked about where I came from and why I decided on my own accord to conduct an on-site interview. The people interviewing me then told me in a rude manner that they would prefer a virtual interview over an on-site interview next time, which really disappointed me because the company seemed like a great place to work. In the end, they refused me because they were expecting more questions out of me. Double standards in play! Since they always lie and make bad excuses over everything I needed to do, I claim that the interview process was rigged and will never recommend taking a job from this company again!

Question 1
Why did you come over here for an on-site interview?
They went over all the details and were very thorough. An in-person presentation about my experience and a topic of my choice to discuss was mandatory. Overall experience was pleasant.
