I applied through university. I interviewed at Space Dynamics Laboratory (Logan, UT) in Apr 2024
Interview
Super easy and chill interview. They asked me to whiteboard code fizzbuzz and then talked about my previous experience and what would be expected of me from this role. The interviewers were nice
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the most complex project you have worked on
Prescreening was first done online over teams. She asked basic questions whether I had experience for each item on job description. The prescreening interview was recorded. Then there was in person interview with candidate giving 1 hour presentation to 6 people some of them remote. I totally missed the presentation because their job description was extremely vague and totally not related to what their website says they do. It's not hard interview. There was no behavioral questions but their job description didn't reflect what the actual position was all about. At the interview, they claimed they have huge difficulty without explaining what it was, without giving any clue about it, and they asked me how I would solve it. When I asked for more details about the problem they are trying to solve they barely gave any clue. The interview was weird least to say. They listed a huge list of software tools in the job description while most of them are not needed for the job at all. Very misleading in so many ways. Total waste of my time. They took me to lunch after the interview. I will never apply for this lab in future.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Space Dynamics Laboratory in Nov 2024
Interview
I applied to the position online. A few weeks later had a phone call to schedule an interview. Had one interview discussing experience on resume. Received an offer a week later.
