I interviewed at Spiegel & Utrera (Coral Gables, FL)
Interview
Firstly, the interview process of just applying takes an hour if not more. The named partner was very condescending and I felt asked questions that were not pertinent to whether you would be a good or competent attorney but rather were questions made to push your buttons. His description of the job, attitude and the environment seems as if the firm is nothing but a revolving door. The person in the position before was only there for 3 months and the person before 10 months. Interviewer didn't seem to know why people always leave and blamed previoues employees' work ethic. Throughout the interview it was clear he, the atmoshere, and most important the salary and lack of incentives were the problem. Did not make the firm seem like a nice place to work at all and is also taking advantage of the fact that the market is flooded, stated starting salary was $40,000 which is on the very low end of firms in the area. I agree with the other reviewers, only apply if desperate.
