      Front Desk Receptionist Interview

      12 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Prosper, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Squeeze Massage (Prosper, TX) in Jun 2025

      Interview

Position Title: Front Desk (Misleading Job Description Misleading Role and Poor Communication I interviewed for what was listed as a front desk position, but it quickly became clear that the role was actually more like an assistant manager or manager position. The owner openly stated they wanted someone to essentially take over their workload so they didn’t have to be at the shop as much—something that was never mentioned in the listing. The pay was also not disclosed during the interview, and I was told it was still being figured out, even though I was expected to consider committing to the position for at least a year. After the interview, I was told to “think it over” and text back if I wanted the role—giving the impression that the decision was mine. I followed up as asked, only to be told the position had already been given to someone else, which felt misleading and disrespectful of my time. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, and I would caution others to ask a lot of clarifying questions before moving forward.
