      I interviewed at StackBlitz

      Interview

I had an HR screening call of 30 minutes. They gave me a take-home assessment consisting of building a full working app with authentication, a database, CRUD functionality and Stripe integration, as well as solving 2 detailed technical customer support scenarios. I have 5 days to deliver this and I delivered it in 2 (Saturday and Sunday). The recruiter explicitly told me the next step would be a hiring manager tech interview based on the take-home assessment. I submitted everything and received zero acknowledgment from the recruiter. A few days later I received a generic automated rejection email with no feedback whatsoever. I checked my GitHub repo traffic and my published app analytics — zero visitors. Nobody from the company seemed to have ever looked at my submission. I sent a polite follow up emails to the recruiter asking for feedback and clarification. It was completely ignored. It's ok to reject a candidate if they don't meed your requirements. But to schedule a call and ask them to build an app for you just so that you ghost them without any feedback is just disrespectful. I understand you have lots of candidates and you can't reply to all of them, but once you schedule a call and you give them a task, at least have the decency to review the task and treat them like humans. This was just disrespectful. Avoid this company if you value your time.
