I had an interview with their founder, at first we just discussed our technical backgrounds, standard get to know each other. The interviewer told me a bit about the platform of StackFolio; when I was about to advance to the next rounds of things I was told that going to have to take 8 hours to go through his test to see if I was good enough for the position. Normally companies have some kind of test to do to prove you know what you are doing. But I expressed that 8 hours was excessive, since that is an entire workday that I would be working for free. The interviewer did not seem to get the message because he then suggested I do a 4 hour session instead; which is half a work day and is still excessive. I simply asked if he would email me the spec of the program he wanted me to make and I would see what I could do and he refused that as well. Very rough interviewing process, this is something StackFolio definitely needs to work on and realize that developers are not going to go through a workday for free when there is no guarantee of a reward at all.
