Stampede Presentation Products has been looking for a Corporate Attorney since 2016 and, as far as I am aware, has yet to ever hire anyone.
I applied for the Corporate Counsel position at Stampede in the spring of 2018 through the company's website. The application was relatively straightforward - employment history, education, salary requirements.
Several days after applying for the position, I received an e-mail from Stampede directing me to schedule myself for a teleconference with a representative from Stampede's HR Department through the representative's Calendly.com profile.
I schedule the teleconference as directed with the understanding that the HR representative will initiate the call.
On the day of the teleconference, the HR representative never calls.
Twenty (20) minutes after the interview was suppose to start, I receive an e-mail from the HR representative stating that she "tried to call me, but could not get though", then directed me to call her at my convenience. My phone was working and I did not receive any calls during the scheduled interview time.
I immediately called Stampede, but my call was immediately dumped into the HR representative's voicemail. I left a voicemail, but then called Stampede back, hoping that the company's operator could help me locate the HR representative. When I reached the operator, I explained the situation, but was hold that this particular HR representative frequently schedules telephone interviews with applicants; fails to call the applicants, then dodges the applicants' calls. The operator apologized for the inconvenience and then directed my call to the HR representative's voicemail.
I leave a second voicemail and send an e-mail in hopes of rescheduling the interview.
The HR representative NEVER responded to any of my voicemails or e-mails, until FOUR (4) MONTHS later when I receive a generic rejection e-mail stating that the company has decided to "go in a different direction."
In January 2019, Stampede reposted the Corporate Counsel position.
