      Field Sales Representative Interview

      6 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Orlando, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Stamps.com (Orlando, FL) in Aug 2018

      Interview

READ THE REVIEW-- A GOOD LOOK INTO THE COMPANY CULTURE. I spent more than five weeks talking to four people at Stamps.com including HR, an Area Sales Manager, an Account Manager and another Field Sales Representative. Everyone I spoke to was great. I declined another job offer after being told that I would get this role. Don't say things you can't back up it make you look silly and you lose credibility. However, when I spoke to last person, I had a different experience. I have logistics and technology experience and met all and exceed the requirements for the role. After talking to her, she was extremely unprofessional and rude. I'm sure many people want her out of this leadership role as well. Leadership is important and it represents the organization at all times. She makes her people look bad. I spoke to here for 10-15 minutes. I am a seasoned sales professional with industry knowledge and understand the business. I was prepared for my call and she was very dry from the start. She seemed liked she didn't want to be there and had low energy. She gave me one-word answers. She was the reason I didn't get the offer. I am always genuine when I talk to people and was surprised to hear that she thought I was cocky and didn't like my honest answers. My advice to Stamps.com is to understand that the person who is speaking to candidates represents the company at all times. I met and spoken to several people throughout my process and they didn't come across as unprofessional like the leadership who has been in the role for 8 years. I was very disappointed in the outcome and how unprofessional the the last person that I interviewed with carried herself. It seems like they have a track record for being unprofessional.
