The overall process was extremely efficient and thoughtful. An initial recruiter screen helped to get relevant information and set expectations on both sides. I was interviewing for the core pinot team and interviews were tailored for the same with 2 coding rounds focused on concurrency and 2 in depth system design rounds. All rounds were conducted by seasoned interviewers who engaged in active discussions and were receptive to my solutions. I had an in depth hiring manager discussion and also a executive chat with VP engineering. I was able to ask a lot of questions I had around the team, work, company, culture, etc. I got an offer and the offer discussion was collaborative.
All the discussions gave me good confidence on the people I would be working with which was a very important requirement for me.
