      Product Owner Interview

      12 Sept 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Statflo (Oakville, ON)

      Interview

Felt like the hiring manager is new to the interview process. Was doing something else throughout the interview. He ll ask a question and then start working. When you book someone for interview the least you could give is your time. Will it be acceptable if the interviewee is doing something else as well? Interview is a mutual opportunity for the interviewer and the interviewee. I really couldn’t focus on the interview. The big red flag is when he laid out that the expectation is to work for way more than 37.5 hrs per week. This is insane. With the whole covid situation going on work life balance is now needed more than ever. Ppl are going crazy already. I hope they at least pay for people working more than stipulated hours. Doesn’t look like it though. The other concerning thing is they told me they will ask something in the interview but asked totally something else. I was told that this is a surprise question. What is this? High school? Interviews should be about selection not elimination. Would never apply again.
