Stokes Creative Group interview questions

I directly contacted the company when I saw the job opening and seemed to be put on a fast track to complete an editorial test and meet with the agency owner for an interview. Most everything appeared standard practice until the interview. The agency principal virtually admitted the final hiring decision was less in his hands than in his cient's and that there was people politics involved. "Has to be the right chemistry." Left distinct impression the decision had been taken out of his hands and he was none too pleased by that. He explicitly indicated I was overqualified based on my resume and portfolio. I asked if candidates would be contacted either way and he said yes. I never heard anything.
