      Fullstack Developer Interview

      20 Dec 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Substack

      Interview

Here’s how the interview process worked: - 30 minute recruiter - 45 minute engineering manager - 45 minute in person coding Everything went well until the in person coding experience. I executed the coding challenge fine but for the further questions, they were asking for scaling questions that involved obscure data structures and ways of parallelizing the problem that would require more consideration than would be possible without some research.
