I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sunsail (London, England) in Mar 2014
Interview
The interview was split into two parts. The first was a 1-minute presentation of the welcome speech we would give to guests once they arrived on the boat. This was presented in front of 10 other applicants who are also interviewed on the same day. It was then followed by a 1:1 interview which lasted 20 minutes.

Interview
Initially send your CV and Cover letter
Then you are invited to an assessment centre where you are asked to prepare a presentation in advance for a typical morning brief you would give you to your guests on flotilla.
First off you meet the other candidates whilst waiting in reception and then you will be taken up to the interview by one of the recruitment staff.
They first give a short presentation on the company and why you would like to work there.
Next, you will take it in turns to present your prepared presentation to the group.
After this you then have a short group task to complete of convincing each other what to take on your survival journey when you are stranded on a beach, far from the nearest town. Followed then by a silent task of answering written scenario questions eg “when organising a beach bbq for guests what would you need to consider” etc
Short lunch break.
After lunch are the 1:1 interviews. These are 30ish minute interviews where they will ask about yourself, sailing experience, work experience and give you a few scenario/give examples when questions.
Overall a positive experience and friendly staff
