I was taken into a conference room and interviewed by two people. They described the requirements of the position in detail. They also explained much about the organization and the particular office in which I would be working. They asked me a series of questions about my reasons for entering this field, my goals, and my experiences.

Question 1
What would you do if you were assigned to one physician but that physician called in. You are now assigned to a different physician for the day. What would you do to prepare for your day?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sutter Health (Sacramento, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was stacked. I was put in front of a panel of 6 people including an area manager who walked in late. She went on to query me about a gap in my resume, and later more or less stated to me that I was unqualified, even though Sutter just hired multiple people with my exact credentials and exact job and significantly less experience in that job. Each member of the panel otherwise got to dissect my life. It was extremely uncomfortable but I am outgoing enough, and I thought the engagement was really positive. It went nowhere. The experience motivated me to apply and get hired out of state where employers still have a pulse.
Interviewer called me and said that I needed a certification for the position, but the website said otherwise. She made accusations that I don't read job descriptions and would not let me speak.
