      Frontend Software Engineer Interview

      2 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sweet

      Interview

I interviewed for a frontend engineer position. I'm newer to the frontend so needed some extra time to work on the problem I was given. The interviewer was incredibly rude from the beginning. I had 45 minutes for the interview but after 15 minutes, the interviewer stopped me and said that he could tell I wasn't good for the position and there was no point in continuing. A decent human would have allowed me to finish the interview because maybe I just needed some more time to complete the assessment. Speed is not everything. But even so, he should have had the courtesy to allow me to finish out the interview. It's just human decency. I dodged a bullet there. Working for this guy would have been awful.
