After a couple of months of waiting for their acquisition to finalize, I interviewed with the Director of the Department and the President. The interview was fairly standard and job-specific. I asked when I could receive an answer back and was told 10 days. It's now 2 months later and I have heard nothing. I followed up with the Director of HR a couple of times and left voicemails, however my calls were not returned. I would have expected at least some correspondence from them.
During the interview I politely asked about the company's reviews on Glassdoor, citing claims of micromanagement and disorganization. The President knew about the feedback, but chooses not to acknowledge it, going on to say that those employees should have come directly to her with the concerns instead of posting online, anonymously. That's a reasonable response in my eyes, however I do use this as another example to question this company's ability to provide a work environment where employees are heard. If they don't return calls from candidates, I have to question whether they would have taken any of my communication seriously as an employee.
